I am absolutely opposed to…

I am absolutely opposed to this act, or any other act which overrides the legislative process and allows chosen proponents to evade provincial and municipal laws. Furthermore, I see the attempt to pass this act as a blatant decision to try to normalize the use of emergency powers in non- emergency situations in order to circumvent thoughtful democratic legislation. This is a power grab very much in the vein of the authoritative power grabs currently occurring in the U.S. Allowing this act to become law would set a dangerous precedent, undermining the democratic principles upon which this country is founded.
