this is a very key time for all citizens in Canada to take part in protecting ourselves from climate change… And this means that cities need to be able to direct what happens within their limits…
And fossil fuels are our enemy at this point…
It is time for municipalities to put in place measures that will guide us towards alternative means of energy… This is a tough road to hoe, because it means changes… But I personally believe that if changes are done gradually, and based on sound expert advice, then the results will be good…
And a benefit of doing this will put us in the forefront of addressing climate action… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Canada, and Ontario specifically, stood proud in finding ways to go forward, addressing climate change and protecting the environment… In other words, we could proudly set a good example…

And on that topic of setting a good example, I imagine there are places in the world that have already done what we need to do, and we can learn from them…

It’s time for all of us to pull together, and right now we have to contend with what is facing us from this destructive Bill (which ignores the rights of common people and indigenous alike) that Doug Ford wants to put forward…
