Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is a distinct day use park. Situated along the shores of Georgian Bay, with 14km of sandy shoreline and clear water. The province is now looking at turning part of this park over to the town of Wasaga Beach, Beach Areas 1 and 2. How long before the town sells those areas off to private developers. The trees, vegetation and Dunes are destroyed and large homes are built on what was parkland that everyone could enjoy. Will we become like tiny beaches where people are restricted to small areas for public access to the beachfront. There is already an area in Allenwood Beach where property owners are pursuing ownership right to the waterline. Now that Allenwood Beach belongs to Wasaga the signs protecting the dune areas have been removed. How long before the dunes are removed. I understand the need for change, but do we need forefit our Provincial parkland so that developers can destroy more of natural environment to build huge houses on the shoreline.
