I was reading through the proposal and realized it is Destination Wasaga, not Wasaga Beach. Wasaga Beach spans 14 kilometers of the beach front, including Beach areas one and two. By naming it Destination Wasaga, subtlety separating it from Wasaga Beach, would that area be removed from ongoing public access. Doug Ford, when he was here, announcing funding. He indicated the land would be transferred if public access was maintained to all of Wasaga Beach beachfront. Would that include Destination Wasaga or would that area be separated for the condos, townhouses and hotel guests and not the tourists who are daytrippers. It is the daytrippers who have supported our Wasaga Beach Provincial Parks for years. It is also the Provincial Parks who have provided parking and picnic areas that have allowed people a safe place to park and picnic and access to the beachfront especially when the beachfront has had high water. Where will those spaces be if the town has control of the property and decides to let developers build in Beach One and Two parks.
