The people of the Wasaga community want a balanced development plan that doesnt just put tourism at the forefront.
There have been so many issues with tourists and people coming from out of town, not respecting the environment or the people of the community, causing hardship for the local people that live there ongoingly. Further tourist development is likely going to severely Negatively impact the local area Including natural habitats as well as disturbances to the general population. Any redevelopment plans need to ensure that locals are consulted and that so are our indigenous peoples And that environmental safeguards are putting into place not; overstepped For the sake of raking in cash at the expensive everything else.
