I have lived in the area for over 20 years, and I’m deeply disappointed by the decision to convert our precious parkland into developmental land. This space has always been more than just a beach—it’s a vital public area where families, locals, and visitors come to connect with nature and community.

I now have two beautiful granddaughters, ages one and three, and nothing brings me more joy than taking them to the beach. I want to continue sharing this special place with them as they grow up—not as a commercial zone, but as the public space it has always been.

Turning this parkland over to development is short-sighted. Once public space is gone, it’s almost impossible to get it back. We need to be protecting green space, not paving over it. This beach belongs to everyone, and I urge the government to rethink this plan—for the sake of future generations and my grand babies.
