This proposal is grossly unacceptable. The current habitat needs to be left as is given the significant piping plover habitat that exists in the area.
Development must be done appropriately with decisions based on sound science, an inter generational lens, and with public and indigenous consultation, None of these things have happened to this point.
As such, this decision should be halted until a comprehensive and appropriate assessment process has happened.
