We live in Wasaga Beach on the shore and were delighted when the Piping Plovers returned down near the point. We have been volunteer guardians in the past. Since 2008 87 plover chicks have fledged from Wasaga Beach. Their habitat area should remain in the hands of the Ministry of Natural Resources for continued protection. And not be transferred to the town of Wasaga Beach who want the area for development.
