The Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is an important nesting ground for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. The proposed changes to the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park put their nesting grounds at risk and out of the careful stewardship they have had. This will put Piping Plovers in danger as they will lose safe places to lay eggs and raise their young.
I urge the provincial government to not put an endangered species at risk to “boost tourism”. Please reject the proposed changes to the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park.
