Parts of Wasaga Beach parkland should not be for sale. In fact, parkland in general should not be for sale! Most people do not own a cottage and public parkland needs to stay in the hands of the public not sold off to private developers.
Also, Wasaga beach is one of the last remaining nesting sites for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario and these nesting sites need to be protected, not sold off.
This is precisely why Bill 5 should not have passed.
