The habitat and species protection that the provincial park offers this very special area is unmatched and COULD NEVER be met by the township. They do not have the speciality, the knowledge or the infrastructure. This is one of the very few areas that the piping plovers nest and they are extremely important to our ecosystem on the beachfront and are a protected species. This cannot be a political decision, this is strictly based on the environment and the wasaga beach township cannot handle this and allow it to thrive like the provincial park has done.
