How dare Premier Ford even think this should be allowed?!! There is a glut of houses and condos on the market for sale. Baby Boomers are or will be selling their homes within the next few years. We do not need to carve out land for developers/houses from our national forest parks. It is ridiculous and dangerous. Once these areas are gone, they are not replaceable. Wasaga has no wildlife corridors as it is. There are already hundreds of acres in Wasaga and Elmvale that are slated for development, which will result in the construction of thousands of homes. The same for the neighbouring town, Stayner. Even that is taking valuable and irreplaceable agricultural land to put under for non-needed housing. It is sickening that Ford is trying to push his agenda through at the cost to future generations in regards to the environment, our national parks, our fresh water, causing pollution, encouraging urban sprawl, and where are all these people supposed to work? I live in Wasaga and am starting to find it harder to pick up even general retail part-time work. It is stupid to allow the selling off of any of our national park land. We should be making more national parks, not letting Ford's cronies buy them up. I am 100% opposed to this asinine proposal.
