I am excited for the impending handover of the lands to the Town of Wasaga Beach....with 25% of the Town property being Provincial Lands we really have our hands tied with respect to increasing a tax base and redevelopment. The beachfront is the perfect place to start and the town has not only a fiscal responsibility to the taxpayer but an environmental responsibility too. I am confident the Town will hold several public meetings , hire experts who will be able to present a development plan that satisfies all conditions with the residents and provide increased tourism, consumer and investor confidence and improve our reputation, all while maintaining our sensitive eco systems. We have a great base with Stonebridge and Sunray (Marriott Hotel) as our kickstart to what will be a truly world class destination. Thank you to Doug Ford for his insightfulness in this regard to allow the Town to take guardianship. I should note that I am a resident of Wasaga Beach.
