I strongly oppose the proposed sale of the beachfront property at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks exist to protect natural spaces and provide public access to nature—not to be sold off to private developers. This beach belongs to all Ontarians, and decisions about it should prioritize public interest, not private profit.
Selling off public land to well-connected developers is deeply concerning and continues a troubling pattern of this government prioritizing short-term gain over long-term stewardship. Once public land is gone, we don’t get it back. Wasaga Beach should remain accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy few.
This proposal undermines the purpose of our provincial parks and erodes public trust. I urge you to protect Wasaga Beach and keep it in public hands—now and for future generations
