Selling the land only for it to be replaced with parking lots and apartments absolutely destroys the environment around it and the residents who live there. Continuing on a path of privatization of public land and destroying the environment amid a worsening climate is both sickening and tiring. People don't want to lose an inch of the beach. It's the people's childhoods, memory and singular go-to beach. Selling off more than half the land is most definitely not going to help with tourism, it's going to absolutely obliterate it. Concrete can't compare to sand and water, but apparently Ford thinks it does.
