The Ontario government made a decision to make that land public in the 50s, and it has been an area visited by many tourists. Must of southern Ontario does not have beach access, and the sale of Wasaga beach would cause congestion and over crowding on beachs and limit people's access. Provincial parks are ment to be accessed by everyone and to be protected. We have a rare ecosystem in that area along with the sandy beaches, don't destroy them with million dollar homes.
