The property at Jamesville is surrounded by residential housing including a couple of taller buildings. It is situated in downtown Hamilton albeit north of the commercial area of downtown. People who live in cities and choose to live near railway tracks/ and a shunting yard EXPECT SOME NOISE and it ridiculous to think that purchasers of the units for sale would not have considered this aspect. . Many people were displaced from their homes to make way for this development which was stalled by CN. It is criminal that CN can be allowed to do this given the lack of affordable housing in Hamilton. While the project is designed with various levels of housing combined, there is a good affordable component which MUST be allowed to move forward.
From a strictly aesthetic viewpoint I have walked my dog past this group of townhomes when they were inhabited and ever since. I am very disappointed that the state of demolition was allowed to remain.
Please do something about this while you can!
