Provincial parks are meant to be kept natural and safe from urban human activity. By developing this protected land, we are putting more at risk than creating good. We need to keep as much of the environment natural, and also keep our word when we say we are protecting places. Why make a conservation area if we’re going to decide to develop it a couple years later? Those guidelines were put there for a reason. So much of Southern Ontario has already experienced deforestation, biodiversity loss, and urban sprawl, Wasaga can help by not adding to these issues.
