This is a travesty on so…

This is a travesty on so many fronts. For one, there should be an open, transparent public process with accountability. These are public lands meant for public enjoyment, the protection of nature, and of endangered species. Instead, the authoritarian pork-barrel gravy train (aka the Ford government) is once again taking public property (belonging not just to this generation of citizens, but future generations) and putting it into private hands. I doubt very much that the environment will be respected or the habitat protected. Based on what's happened at Ontario place it will be destroyed. Let the developers buy private land instead.
