This proposal is environmentally destructive and endangers a beloved provincial park that people across Ontario and the whole country love. In addition to the loss of tourism, Wasaga Beach is a critical storm barrier against harsh weather from Georgian Bay that is only going to get worse as time goes by. Who will buy the newly developed properties if they all end up flooded or battered by storms over and over? This proposal is short-sighted in the extreme. Wasaga Beach should be protected, not exploited like this.
