This is an appalling land grab and over reach, Trumpian in its arrogance. This will decimate important ecological lands all over the province. Lands that give us clean water, air, and protect us from flooding, and pollution. Why is the government in favour of filthy air and water and floods?
These are also lands that are critical habitat to many Endangered species. The worst is Wasaga Beach- the best habitat for the critically endangered Piping plover, which only has a handful of nests in the province. These tiny sand coloured birds don't stand a chance in the face of condos, dogs and crushing development. Shameful
