I have enjoyed provincial parks my entire life. Why would you not want to protect the lands and the species within the parks?
As for Wasaga Beach, it was a booming tourist area in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and into the early 90s. The provincial park has existed there regardless of the tourists visiting the attractions and hotels.
I would prefer to go there to enjoy the beach and the wetlands not your fancy clubs and expensive restaurants. Poor decision.
I don’t like how you’ve snuck this Bill through without public input. Sounds pretty shady to me, as if you plan on making some deals with your big business friends. What about the ordinary people of Ontario? What about the Indigenous people of our province?
I feel this is yet another opportunity to make yourself look good and not look after the environment as you promised when elected.
