Canada -- and especially Ontario -- does not need to lose any more public land and crown park property than we have. We as citizens are running out of places to gather due to "leadership" looking to line their pockets. Wasaga doesn't need to "increase tourism of the downtown area" -- people go there for the beach! The largest freshwater beach in the world!! Features like our beaches and provincial parks are what brings people to Canada from all over the world and you're destroying the very thing they come for. There will be nothing left worth visiting when every corner of Ontario is gentrified with a luxury unofficial Airbnb condo and a pop-up shop selling drop-shipped garbage and overpriced import snackfoods. Turning every square inch into a concept that will generate them more wealth for the few and deprive locals of accessible places to gather and enjoy the outdoors. Give it back to the indigenous nations of the land to shepherd or leave it alone. Our planet is dying and Canada is a final frontier for our green spaces to enjoy nature in our 11th hour before it burns away. Not everything needs to be for profit!
