Please retain protections…

Please retain protections for piping plovers. Their Wasaga Beach habitat remaining intact is crucial to their survival. Their delicate nesting sites are vulnerable. They need special care & oversight. We can coexist with these special little birds but having habitat care go to small minded municipal interests that only consider human interests/ growth is not ok. Oversight & care needs to remain in educated hands. We can’t develop such sensitive areas without dire consequences for other living beings. We can make more compassionate balanced decisions can’t we?

These special little birds are part of the ecology here. They matter.

I’m watching decisions being made all over Ontario right now that don’t consider the environment & wildlife at all.
It’s heavy. We can’t hand over everything to short-sighted developer interests. We’re going to lose too much of what actually matters. Please protect piping plover habitat.
