I am very concerned for the piping plover habitat here. This is one of the last spots in Ontario where they are nesting and it's a very important place for birders of all generations. Please don't let all the conservation efforts of years past go down the drain while US birds are thriving and having record numbers. I want to be able to continue to see piping plovers and their chicks here for generations to come. Limit mechanical raking, disturbance to nesting birds and involve experts to care and protect them. The piping plovers have always provided a wonderful joy for me and my family.
