I do not support this proposal. This plan is reckless and does not serve my community. We need a plan that commits funding to protect and conserve Piping Plovers and their habitat. I'm concerned about increased threats to our relict beach such as mechanical raking. This proposal should not be approved until the Township of Wasaga Beach has engaged with experts like Birds Canada, and additionally I wish for experts to be consulted at development and implementation phases regardless. Please consider the irreplaceable species and sensitive habitat that would be put at risk should this be approved.
