My son and I are from BC and recently visited Wasaga beach specifically to see the piping plovers. While visiting we spent money in the town and other areas nearby.
Birdwatchers are growing in numbers and becoming stronger advocates for creatures who can’t speak for themselves. It would be a proactive idea to keep them on your side.
These birds are special and protecting them is in your best interests- for economic reasons, social reasons, and just general importance of taking care of our feathered friends to name a few.
Especially because we know they are under even greater threat now that our neighbors to the south won’t be looking out for them.
Please make the piping plovers a priority.
