After the Ontario Government passed Bill 5 it proves that it is going to be detrimental to Ontario’s ecosystems and species at risk. With only 14 pairs breeding at Wasaga Beach and Pipping Plovers already being a scarcity with the Ontario Government giving the land to the township they will continue to prove to people that they do not care about ecosystems and species at risk. Municipalities do not care about species at risk, they care about making a profit. Provincial parks care about species at risk, the natural environment, and maintaining biodiversity. Municipalities do not care nor do they have the recourses to care. If the Ontario Government allows for this to happen it just further shows their lack of commitment to maintaining natural species and protecting species at risk. Remember good things did once grow in Ontario.
