I would like to call on the province of Ontario to forgo transferring ownership of the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park from Ontario Parks to the Town of Wasaga Beach as the already endangered Piping Plover will be at increased risk if the transfer of land is approved. With the recent passing of Bill 5 and now with this proposal, the Piping Plover population will have no provincial protection.
If the transfer of land is to take place I would call on the province to make the protection of this species and its habitat a condition of sale.
