We all know that selling off…

We all know that selling off this public land will not increase “tourism” or enhance the utility of this land for the public. It’s to put money in developers’ pockets and give rich people a beach getaway. And worse: if these lands are sold, and the land is cordoned off for development, how confident can we be that developments will be completed? We already see so much privately owned or sold land stand vacant in Toronto for years because a project runs out of money, or becomes unprofitable. There needs to be a concrete plan for this land, you cannot hand over land that belongs to Ontario tax payers without sharing exactly what we will be losing. Finally, there are serious environmental risks that it’s obvious the provincial government would not like to address.
