Curious choice as there has been a push for decades to protect the area due to the endangered piping plover and the threatened hog nose snake. While tourism is important and can help the community it should not be at the sake of protected species. The town was once booming WHILE the Provincial Park was still part of the community. It would be an absolute shame for Wasaga to lose the status / amount of land as a Provincial Park.
