Thank-you for this opportunity to share my thoughts. Ontario’s parks belong to the people of Ontario and to safeguard ecosystems and biodiversity. I request the Province reconsider their proposal to remove and sell portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, specifically Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach. These natural heritage areas and hazardous lands should not be developed or modified for the purpose of supporting the revitalization of the downtown area and tourism and are best protected now and for future generations within a provincial park for the benefit and protection of the public and wildlife.

I do not have enough knowledge about Nancy Island to either support or object to the proposal to transfer these lands to the municipalities; however I request that natural heritage and hazardous lands implications be carefully considered and valued before advancing this part of the proposal.
