Hello, I am concerned about the proposed amendments to the PPCRA and HPA in Wasaga Beach. Wasaga Beach is an important habitat for the provincially Endangered Piping Plover species. I believe the current proposed amendments do not adequately ensure the population there is conserved and protected. Their habitat requires year-round protection by restricting mechanical raking to prevent habitat destruction, prohibiting dune alteration, and protecting nests with fenced buffer zones. Additionally, the engagement of experts at development and implementation phases is essential to protecting at-risk-species like the Piping Plover. Thank you for your time.
