As a citizen of Ontario, who has lived in many cities and parts of Canada, Wasaga beach is above all the most incredible beach to visit. The fact that Doug thinks he can sell of public parks to private developers so he can continue to line his and his friends pockets is nothing short of treasonous and corrupt.
This park attracts over 1.2 million visitors every year. The amount of money it generates annually will always far exceed the amount he plans to sell it off for in revenue for the town. He will continue to destroy Ontario and its citizens will be left with no benefits and will have to clean up the mess he has made and will make if he is allowed to continue without impunity. It shows the level of corruption that is in our government, when our own “leaders” are held to no laws and can do as they please. He is not working for the people of Ontario and selling off 60% of Wasaga beach for development is shortsighted and embarrassing.
Ontario needs to be protected FROM Dougie Ford and his goons. He sold off Ontario Place for a mega spa and huge parking garage, he tried to dismantle the green belt, he rammed through Bill 5 and insulted everyone in the process, he disregards on Treaties and Indigenous Peoples rights, he will not stop until he has achieved Temu trump status. He’s a corrupt politician and he does not care for his constituents.
