Hello,
I would like to comment on the proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal.
My concern is regarding the negative impact these amendments will have on protecting the nesting habitat of piping plovers.
This is very important. The piping plover population must see strengthened legal protection, in this case at Wasaga Beach.
The Government of Ontario should devote itself to developing strong, science-based management of the ecological integrity of Wasaga Beach.
