Safety of the roads and seeing a zero vision future, from my view, is only possible by allowing flexible lane changes for all transportation modes. Leaving the guidelines to one man who doesn't live in your community and cannot adapt his rules to it are ludicrous and further removes form the goal of safer AND more efficient transportation in streets. Will our municipalities get more funding in road projects to compensate for the much more expensive, essentially, zoning law to require the same amount of roadways with the modernization of PROTECTED bike lanes? Highly doubt it. Make it make sense.
