Dear Doug and co,
I writer letters, I call and here I am again. As a parent and a cyclist - I am again appalled at your lack of consideration for the children of Ontario. This is no place to grow - we have smoke from wildfires, we have a Premier who thinks a spa for profit is better for kids than a park - a wild space (when are we going to see that spa anyway?) and oh yes - that amazing space in one of Toronto’s poorer areas Flemingdon park. Gone. Kids safety should be your priority - better bike lanes are safer. The first child who dies because of your legislation will be on you and there will be lawsuits.
I am also an avid cyclist and growing up here without bike lanes I know that the bike lanes make the city safer. But so do you. Cars are gone - I have a car - tax the F150s they shouldn’t even be in the city without a special permit. Bikes are healthier and cause less pollution - give our kids a greener future. Please please. Your rich buddies are rich enough. Your short term profit is sending us backwards - better greener jobs please where people can cycle to work!
And while I am here - what happened to our elected school trustees who just disappeared? What happened to our green roofs that just disappeared for your friends? Do you see the temperature outside ? The storms? You clearly don’t care which is frightening. Thanks for your consideration in this matter. Mary
