I do not support the proposed legislation affecting traffic lanes. My family including my wife, my son and daughter all cycle regularly and appreciate the added safety of bike lanes. Anything that takes these away directly increases the risks of our morning commute, including when bringing our grandson to daycare. Municipalities should remain in control of their streets to allow things like outdoor cafes, improved cycling and transit infrastructure etc. as they have a deep understanding of the needs of their community. The province should not be interfering with these municipal decisions.
