Bike lanes need to be prioritized in Ontario. Bikes do not pollute the environment. Smart street design (ex. limiting right or left turns), robust and affordable public transit, and protected and safe bike lanes are what our urban areas need. I do not support the Ontario Government's decision to prohibit bike lanes from taking out a lane of car traffic. What works in rural, suburban or small town Ontario, does not work in dense urban neighbourhoods. Reduce cars on the road in urban areas by offering (and funding!) transit/commuting alternatives.
