This bill is an egregious waste of tax-payer money and time, and runs against common sense, public safety, and even the laws of our province. It is ironic to the point of being laughable that this is an Environmental bill. Highly disappointed that the issue of bike lanes continues to be subject to provincial overreach, making our province's streets less safe for everyone. These bills have the tragic (and dangerous, even deadly) side effect of stoking political divisions between "drivers" and "cyclists" who are all just neighbours and community members and must share space together in ways which reduce harm to all. Leave decisions about streets to the cities, towns, counties who know best, and have the most firsthand knowledge and longtime insight! Ford's government must stop wasting time on opposing bike lanes, it's endangering the lives of Ontario residents and shows reckless lack of care and disregard for those who live in our province, not to mention the environment.
