Sadly it wont matter what the people want. Government does what it wants to. This should be on a ballot and voted on.
NO NO NO. Every amalgamation I have been through has always hurt the community I've been in and for the residents its ALWAYS a bad thing. Bobcaygeon to City of Kawartha Lakes has been horrible for this community. A rich community that has poor services because its revenue goes to other areas.
In this situation i assume getting permits is going to be a nightmare worse than it is now. I as a resident am ADAMANTLY against this.
