Bike lanes are crucial for our city and complete bike lanes.

3 weeks ago I was purposely run off the road by an SUV while traveling along millwood to get to the bridge (and bike lane) coming from Leaside towards the Danforth. All because I was cycling. I can not afford a car and often cycling is faster than taking TTC. Fitness is important to me as I work a desk job and sit most days. I was following the law and and came very close to injury or death all because I was riding a bike. The gentleman in the vehicle screamed at me and inappropriately gestured towards me.

Safe bike lanes are a part of a global city that understands the importance of multiple modes of transportation. Condos being built without enough car parking spaces for all units will contribute to the usage of public transit and bicycles. No one wants to be hit and no one wants to injure someone else. Please understand the importance of safety and allowing our city to expand. Even Doug Ford thought that separate bike lanes were crucial for safety in his cycling interview with Jagmeet Singh.

We hope that you will hear from those that use bike lanes and care about their safety. Expansion and making sure lanes are complete are a critical concern of our city and those that live here.
