Cycling lanes saved lives. They prevent aggressive drivers from mixing it up with cyclists. Cycling is green energy and should be promoted and protected. Removing cycling lanes is painting targets on the back of cyclists. I cycle 9- 10,000 kms per year and mainly cycle country roads and have to come into the city after a ride and that is only time I am fearful of car / truck drivers You could promote cycling instead of vilifying it. Attitudes are important and create a difference. Do good instead choosing the easy path! .
