I am opposed to the consolidation of the conservation authorities.

As a resident of the Grand River CA, I find it very useful for the continued examination and management of our watershed, which is increasingly threatened by development.

We recently have found out that our freshwater is of limited supply and it risks being further compromised by current and proposed developments. We may not have sufficient water to service these new areas which were also imposed by the provincial government.

We do not have municipal expertise that will ensure the continued supply water to our cities and towunships and we may even have to pipe water in from Lake Erie at enormous cost to ourselves and to the environment.

Please abandon this wreckless scheme and give us back the local knowledge that not only protects our drinking wather but also the wetlands and species at risk in our area.
