Hello. Lake Erie proposed authority to cover Sydenham, Thames and Grand rivers.

One size does not fit all. Each area is unique. Sydenham River watershed apparently houses 80 species of fish, 30 freshwater mussels and has 20 species fish/mussels/reptiles that are listed as species at risk. A very special area indeed. When a species is gone it is gone for good! Also who is going to keep the developers at arms length.

Semi-polluted Grand River has run-offs now and then and when it happens who will know - the all supreme amalgamated River authority. Very unlikely. Also a few years back Brantford suffered from a massive ice jam which damaged Brant's Crossing bridge. Now this will be replaced in 2026 to the tune of 6.25 MILLION dollars.

Thames River all 160 miles of it suffers from sewer overflows and agricultural runoff.

As previously said one size does not fit all. Each authority fully understands its own areas and known how to deal with the issues.
