Hi,

I want you to know that I am against Nestle taking groundwater to sell in plastic, one use bottles, and
making those available to the public to distribute into our environment.
Environmentally speaking plastic bottles are not good things to even be producing!
Many are left by consumers for the environment to deal with and that is a huge decomposing job. Furthermore, companies like Nestle make huge money putting plastic out there for consumers, and the taxpayers are responsible to do the clean up, recycling and/or deal with the health and environmental impacts of these molecules being made and released into our environment!
It's easy to say,"consumers have a choice whether they purchase plastic water bottles." However, there is not a lot of education or effort put in to the consumer being aware of the implications of said purchases-there's just no money in doing that; also, alternatives available for consuming water are not easily accessed or are non-existent, ie.,water fountains or refilling stations for personal containers.-no money in that either.
Our paid political party in power are responsible to ensure ,"that the right decisions are made!" These positions of power are exceedingly important. This power, money and faith is given by the people to have issues such as this looked at and after in a professional and most importantly ethical manner. Yes Nestle provides jobs for people. However, they will still be able to that without polluting our environment, our food sources, and our bodies. They can come up with a better way. You're not going to stop people from using disposable plastic until you stop manufacturing and distributing it!
This doesn't even touch the issue of them using "our" groundwater. I think that that, in itself, is another issue to be carefully considered. But, I strongly feel that in no way should our groundwater be put into single use plastic bottles and distributed, likely, the world over. People, laws, education and circumstances and do not cover the impacts of this.
