The proposed changes to the provisions in the Planning Act that alter the authority of the Minister are seemingly loaded with potential to grant enough power to reduce protection for many heritage buildings in Ontario. Having witnessed the near loss of the Foundry Buildings recently, it is imperative to me that much more consideration be given prior to the passing of the Proposal. It is up to those of us to whom these treasures have been left for guardianship to uphold their preservation - please, stop this Proposal!
