The citizens of Ontario do not want our Greenbelt touched. The Premier of Ontario promised not to touch the Greenbelt. There is valid video capturing his words. He said he would listen to the people.

That said, it is also our understanding that there are 88,000 acres of "green field" on which to build affordable housing; now, today.

There is no reason to go after 7,400 acres of greenbelt, when there is plenty of land currently available on which to build.

We are dead set against this irresponsible and very shortsighted plan.

Bill 23 needs to be re-examined immediately.

We will not stand for our greenbelt to be touched. It is home to 78 endangered species, as well as the fact that this incredible ecosystem contributes significantly to Human Health.
