This proposal to remove parts of the Green Belt is completely tone deaf and honestly ridiculous within the context of present day 2022. If we are truly committed to reducing our carbon output and reducing our impact on climate change, than we simply cannot reduce any further green space.

The Green Belt was originally proposed to protect forests, wetlands, watersheds, farmland and communities. The proposal had been put forth to fill the pockets of Doug Fords little developer buddies and no one else. It will destroy habitats, rip through communities and farmlands, and for what?

I am completely and utterly am against any change to the Green Belt plan unless it’s to expand it.
