I believe that we are starting down the wrong path by cancelling the Cap and Trade system to reduce CO2 emissions in Ontario. We need to give companies, governments and citizens a financial incentive to further reduce fossil fuel burning in the province by putting a cost burden on excessive emissions.

I also want to see Ontario making greater efforts to develop clean energy solutions for heating, transportation, and manufacturing in this province. The climate change problem we face requires making changes to our present energy wasteful economy starting now. This is our only hope to limit climate change damage.

Let's build on the progress made thus far and not retreat to an energy wasteful past. Let's take Ontario to a leadership position in the job creating clean energy future.
